Welp, after defending this group for the entire season...I might have to agree with you. Toyzan seems like he would be a great player and yet he's made some fatal errors along the way too.

None of them, except maybe for Kim, have a full grasp on the concept of a "majority vote."

It's a win-win for me, however, because if Troyzan makes a comeback that would be entertaining from a fan point of view or if Kim retains control, then I win the Survivor Survivor Pool. So, this could end up being a good season after all, it's enough that I will keep watching.

Don't lose faith Sebastian!

Despite the elimination of Colton, there are enough loose cannons around to at least make the tribal councils interesting.

Plus, the fact that the alliances are still up in the air makes the social aspect of the game quite interesting especially if the former Salani tribe decides to ditch their gender loyalties and stick together.

And who knows? Maybe next week Alicia's bathing suit will finally fall off and we'll all have a good laugh!

I think it's safe to say that the show is significantly less entertaining without Colton. He honestly seemed like the only cast member who actually knew how to play the game. Very disappointed to see him go!

I think the men made a major mistake letting Jonas go. Do they not realize this game is all about numbers? If they pick another guy off next week, the girls could seemingly come together and eliminate the remaining few. Poor choice on their part!

It's sad to say, but I'm starting to lose interest in this Season! Everyone is sooooo dry. No personalities whatsoever. The only player with personality is Tarzan, and I can't stand him one bit.

It's a sad day in Survivor world for me.

Agreed, the match-up was totally unfair. I think next time those two meet it should be shirtless and weaponless in the desert. Nobody beats Picard in hand to hand combat...except maybe a sweaty, twenty-something Captain Kirk.

Love it. Though I can't believe that poor patrick only had the transporter noise and not even a "make it so" or an "engage". I bet you george lucas made sure that you have to put like five dollars worth of coins into qui-gon jinn to make him move like that....*cough* I wonder how much liam neeson got paid to do the same thing in phantom menace :P.

You're right Aaron, I did gloss over the importance of gaming in the timeline of the rise of Zombie popularity. There is certainly something to be said for the influence of the Resident Evil franchise on modern day Zombie enthusiasts. The first Resident Evil was released for Playstation in 1996 but I have to say I wasn't hooked until Resident Evil Zero came out on Game Cube in 2002 (I have always been primarily a Nintendo fan).

Coincidentally, it was also in 2002 that the first movie version of Resident Evil was released along with a slew of now classics such as 28 Days Later (2002), Cabin Fever (2002), Shaun of the Dead (2004), Dawn of the Dead (2004), 28 Weeks Later (2007), Quarantine (2008), Zombieland (2009) and The Crazies (2010). The Walking Dead did not premiere until October 31, 2010.

The turning of the tides of the masses towards a love for the undead can be debated endlessly. Gamers will say it was Resident Evil, movie buffs will contend that they've been Zombie fans since Romero's Night of the Living Dead (even though most of them weren't even alive when it was first released) and some people like Zombies because they just want to be weird and different.

Nobody wants to be at the caboose of a crowded bandwagon so everybody will say they were there first.

Personally, I became a fan of the creepy undead when I saw Evil Dead 2 in high-school in the late 90s. So whether it was Bruce Campbell or the dastardly Umbrella Corporation that first spurred your love for Zombies, we should enjoy the "Zombie Boom" while it lasts because who knows what the next big thing will be?

I think you're putting the cart before the horse. You seem to be saying that the Walking Dead was a hit, therefore, there has been a resurgence in the popularity of zombies. But it's the other way around. Zombies have experienced a resurgence in popularity, therefore, the Walking Dead is a hit. This resurgence has been going on for the last 15 years or so. I believe that the rise in popularity of zombies stems from video games. You can probably trace it back to Resident Evil. It seems that from that point on, zombies have been massively popular.
